Return & Exchange Policy

RETURNS

All returns or exchanges must be within 30 days. You will not be eligible for a return or exchange if 30 days have past since your order.

Only items that are returned in new/unused condition will be approved. You must also include any additional item(s) received with your purchase. This includes packaging, stickers, promotional items, etc.

Please email returns@modernthreadco.com to request a return label. Please include your name and order number, as well as details why you're returning the merchandise. We will email you a return label which can be dropped off at a location near you. You are responsible for return shipping costs which are deducted from your refund.

EXCHANGES

We offer FREE exchanges in the event you decide to change your product. You must send your exchange within 7 days of receiving the exchange label. Your first exchange is free, any additional exchanges on the same order will incur a shipping expense fee.

THE FINE PRINT

Only the original purchaser can initiate a refund request. If you are not the original purchaser, please reach out to us at returns@modernthreadco.com. We'll work with you to obtain proof of purchase.

Any item that is returned in any other condition than new/unused will be eligible for a partial refund.

Once we've refunded you it can take up to 5 business days to reflect. If it has been longer than 5 business days since you've received notification of refund, please contact your bank or credit card company. Sometimes there are processing delays which are out of our control. Once you've received confirmation of a refund issued the situation is entirely out of our hand.

RETURN PROCESS EXPLAINED

When you initiate a request our support department will issue you a prepaid return label. You must return this item within 7 days of receiving the label. Any items returned to us after 7 days of receiving your shipping label will be refused.

After we have received your return we will review the contents. We will either refund you the purchase price (less any circumstantial fees) or explain why you are not eligible for a full refund.

When a refund is issued, it will only be issued to the same payment method used during checkout. Please consider this when shopping with prepaid cards.

You are responsible for shipping fees on refunded items when we are not at fault for the return. If you received a free shipping promotion, you will be charged a flat rate $5.99 shipping fee which is taken off of your return amount. 

EXCHANGE PROCESS EXPLAINED

Exchanging is a very simple process. Simply send the item back, we'll inspect it to ensure it's in original condition, then we'll send out your exchange. During the exchange process we'll ask what you'd like to exchange your purchase for. For exchanges reach out to returns@modernthreadco.com. Exchanges are FREE on your first order if size is the issue. If you choose to change the color or type of product, a fee will be charged. We use realtime shipping rates to calculate fees, so we'll have to tell you the fee during the exchange process.

ISSUES WITH DELIVERY

If you've entered an incorrect address, refused our package, or your package is returned to us, we charge a flat rate fee of $6.99 to resend the item. If you decide you no longer want the item, the fee will be deducted from your refund.
